Manchester-born operatic tenor working across opera, concert, and contemporary repertoire throughout the UK.

Michael completed his BMus, MMus, and PGDip at the Royal Northern College of Music and has since appeared with companies including English National Opera, Northern  Opera Group, Radius Opera, and Hull Urban Opera. 

Recent highlights include Don José in Carmen, Maurice in the premiere of The  End of the World Party, and the tenor solo in Das Lied von der Erde with MuzikFermata. Michael has created several contemporary operatic roles, including Hephaestus in The Fire of Olympus. Reviewing his performances, ConcertoNet praised his  “fabulous inflections” and “effervescent expression,” while Seen and Heard  International described him as an “eerie and chilling presence.” Alongside performing, Michael is Vocal Lead for Tameside Music Service and has worked with ENO Engage on outreach and education projects.
